Step 1 Revision
1. Review the words and some phrases.
2. Talt four inventions we have learned.
Step 2 Lead in
Show a picture of Robot and talt it.
---What can Robots do ? They can save people in danger .
---Are sure they can save people in danger ?
---Yes , I’m sure . / NO, I’m not sure .
………
Step 3 Listening
1. Listen to 2 and number the pictures. Check the answer.
2. Listen to 1a and answer the questions.
1) Where did Kangkang go to the Science Center ?
2) When did scientists invent the first robot ?
3) Are you sure robots can do some work faster and better than humans ?
3. Useful expressions and key points.
4. Do some exercises.
Step 4 Writing
1. Show the structure of the introduction of an invention. Talt the advantages and disadvantages of robots in 1a in Page 85 and 3 in page

Say something about the robot according to the structure, not including the ending.
Step 5 Reading
1. Read and do 1b, then check the answer.
2. Answer some questions:
The questions are:
1.Do you think that robots will be part of our lives in the future?
2.Can you guess what the robots will do for us at home?
3.If possible, what kind of robots do want to invent, the ones that are our servants, the ones that are our friends or the ones that our masters ? Why?
4. Discuss the ending.( After talking about the questions, they may think of the ending more easily.)
