  Teaching Aims:
  To assess students’ ability to recognize and use imperatives and modal verbs when expressing instructions, duty and responsibility
  To match animals with their characteristics and habits
  To revise the language points in this unit
  Teaching procedures:
  Step 1 Play a guessing game:
  Could you guess which animals they are?
  Eg: I live in the forest.
  Unit 6 Integrated skills
  Teaching Aims:
  To identify specific characteristics in a description of goldfish .
  To listen for detail and extract specific information .
  To use knowledge presented in written text to infer general meaning and context .
  To listen for specific information to complete a conversation.
  Teaching procedures 
  Step 1. Revision
  1. Ask: Which is your favourite pet ?  Can you tell me why ?
  2. Would you like to have a goldfish as your pet?
  7B Unit 6 Main task
  Teaching Aims:
  ·To present factual information and opinions in writing.
  ·To describe characteristics and personalities of pets.
  ·To describe pets’ lifestyles, including feeding habits, homes, likes and dislikes.
  ·To generate personal ideas, plan and organize text to express one’s own opinions.
  ·To present an article about a favorite pet.
  Teaching procedures:
  Step1. Leading in and presentation
  1). Tell students that your teacher as to do a presentation of your favorite pet.  Look at Amy’s writing about her cat first.
  2). Ask them: Who does she belong to?          How old is she
  Unit 6 Pronunciation
  Teaching Aims:
  To give the students a chance of practicing their spoken English;
  To introduce the idea of sentence stress
  To identify and recognize typical stress patterns in sentences
  Teaching procedures
  Step 1. Revision
  1.Map a conversation to talt pets.
  2.Revise the phrases
  Unit 6  Vocabulary
  Teaching Aims:
  To recognize and identify a range of animal features
  To differentiate between features belonging to different animals
  To use appropriate nouns and verbs when describing the appearance and characteristics of different types of animals
  Teaching procedures 
  Step1 Revision
  1.Play a guess game: Who am I? Revise different names of animals.
  2.Free talk: Which animal do you like best? Why?
  Step 2 Presentation
  1.Use some pictures to teach the new words and phrases.
  1) Birds, chiccks have wings .Birds use wings to fly high in the sky.
  2)We feed parrots in a cage.They often knock on the cagedoor.They have feathers .They lootiful in the sun.
  3) Dogs walk with paws,and like to chase balls with paws. It also has a short tail.
  4) Fish have fins and a tail to swim around.
  2. Part A. Label the different parts of the animals.
