教学准备
1. 教学目标
（1）熟练掌握下列词汇：
newspaper, use, soup, wash, movie, just
（2）熟练掌握下列短语：
talk on the phone, go to the movies, map, read a newspaper,
use the computer, wash clothes, eat out do homework, watch TV
（3）掌握下列句型：
—What are you doing? —I\'m watching TV.
—What\'s he doing? —He\'s using the computer.
—What are they doing? —They\'re listening to a CD
2. 教学重点/难点
重点：
1) 词汇、词组搭配和现在进行时的用法。能用现在进行时的各种形式进行准确的描述和表达正在发生的动作。
2) 能掌握现在进行时态及一些表示具体动作的词组搭配,如: doing homeworsing the computer, watching TV, eating dinner… 等
难点：
现在进行时中现在分词的结构及读音，能在交际中准确地运用现在进行时来描述或表达正在进行的动作。

二. 情景导入
(1) Show the pictures and help Ss to identify what the people in the pictures are doing. Help them to describe each picture by saying “He/ she is …”
(2) Help Ss to understand the key sentences
图片教学法是呈现新知识最简单有效的方法之一，学生通过图片，能更加直观的理解新单词的含义。
三．合作探究

Match the words with the activities.
通过1a的练习，使学生进一步学会运用新单词。和学生一起谈论图片，目的在于引导学生学会使用现在进行时的基本句型。
2. Work on 1b
在听对话的过程中抓住关键词汇，由于前面已做了一些训练，因此学生听起来比较容易，让他们都有一次成功的喜悦和感受，这样可以增强他们的学习自信心。
3. Drill
第一轮应提问成绩较好的学生，第二轮提问成绩较差的学生，使不同层次学生初步掌握目标语言。
