一、 教学目标:
1) 通过观察仔细观察图片,绝大部分学生能对用于描述人物外貌的词汇如:tall/short, thin/heavy, long hair/short hair, big eyes /small eyes等词汇进行复习,进而引出形容词比较级的对比运用。
2) 绝大部分学生能通过听力材料1b及2a,2b给予的文本信息,挖掘并对用于描述性格的词汇如outgoing, quiet, noisy, calm, wild, serious, athletic等进行学习,拼读,并通过对比形式进行形容词的比较级的学习和运用。明白比较级的形式,意义,用法。
3) 绝大部分学生能通过上下文猜测,词义对比等方式对所学词汇进行学习,理解,巩固,以至于运用. 找出形容词比较级的变化规律。
4) 学生能运用形容词比较级对人物进行个人特点的对比描述。
如: Pedro is funnier than Paul.
Tina is taller than Tara.
Tom is more athletic than Sam.
二、 教学重点、难点
1)运用词义对比法进行人物描述类形容词的学习和运用。(重点)
2)单音节词和常见多音节词的形容词比较级的变化规律。(重点,难点)
3)学生运用形容词比较级对现实生活中的熟悉人物进行人物特征的对比描述。(重点,难点)。

四、 教学过程
1) warming up and lead-in
T: What do you like to do after school?
Ss:….
T: Well, I like to hang out with my little sister. (Show a picture of the teacher and her sister,who are really similar to each other)
Do we look the same with each other?
Some people may also think we are twins. (teach the new word “twin”)
(similar pronunciations are twelve, twenty…)
Which one is me?
(let students look at the picture and find out the similarities and differences about the appearance)
