教学背景:
这是第四单元的第一个部分:Electricity。 这一部分是在阅读的前提下,尽量让学生多了解一些关于电的知识.同时加上学生们日常生活常识,对电进行剖析, 共同讨论如何正确地使用电.尽管本部分对于初中生有一定的难度,但用生活贴近的东西,加上英语的正确表达,增强了英语的实用性.下面是在第一部分 Electricity的教学实录。(T: teacher,Ss: students)
Step One. Greeting the class
T: Good afternoon , boys and girls. You can see there are many teachers in the back of the classroom. First let’s welcome!
Step Two Pre-reading activities
a. Warming-up
T:Today we are going to learn a new chapter,Chapter4 Electricity . Before we learn it, I’d love to as some questions. Do you know electricity?
Ss: Yes
T: Please read after me.(twice) Electricity is one kind of natural elemets.Do you know natural elements?
Ss: Yes.
T: Do you know other natural elements? If you don’t know ,I’d like to show you several pitures.Please look at the pitures ,what are they?
(利用CAI分别展示四幅图片,介绍其他的自然元素:火,光,风,水)
Ss: they are fire, light, wind and water.
T: You did a very good job. You know there are many kinds of natural elements .it is also very useful in our daily lives.but today we are going focus one kind of natural elements. Do you know what it is?
Ss: Electricity.
T: Are you sure?
Ss: Yes!
T: So smart! Please look at the picture—electricity(A dangerous servant). Can you tell me the meaning of servant?
Ss: 仆人.
T: Yes, you know electricity is very useful in our daily lives, but it is also very dangerous. So what should we do?
Ss: We should be more careful with elctrcity.
【设计意图】利用一个贴近生活的物体,引出本文要学习的关键词:电。为导入新课作铺垫。
【点评】通过生活中的自然元素,自然地引入本课的主题—— electricity.使学习流畅地进入到今天的主题。
