Ⅰ. The Analysis of the new curriculum
The aim of the new curriculum is to develop the students’ ability to use English in their daily life. In English class, teachers should give tasks according to the teaching aims and students’ level of knowledge and ability. Those tasld help arouse students’ interest and encourage their anticipation so that they can improve their English ability.
Ⅱ.The Analysis of Teaching Material
The topic of this chapter is travel to other countries. The listening task is based on a talt the Eiffel Tower. The speaking section is a discussion about where you would like to go for a holiday. The writing task is to write a holiday postcard to a friend.
Ⅲ.The Analysis of Students
Most of students are weak in English, especially oral English. They seldom feel the sense of success and they show no confidence or interest in learning English. The lack of confidence makes them not dare to express themselves before others. Therefore, my class aims at arousing students’ enthusiasm for English; developing their active attitude towards English and helping them build up their confidence in speaking English.
Ⅳ.Teaching aims
1. Knowledge aim
To enable students to master the usage of some words and phrases during the activities.
2. Ability aims
To let students open their mouth and practise their ability of speaking.
To improve their ability of listening,writing as well as help them form English mode of thinking.
3. Moral objectives
To enable students to be confident and active in class
Students are encouraged to learn by themselves and learn to share happiness with others.
Ⅴ.Key Points and Difficult Points
1. Key Points: I would like to go….
Listen to the recording, especially the numbers and dates.
Write a short article by using different tenses accurately.
2. Difficult Points:
It is difficult for them to take part in the class activities actively because of their shyness and poor vocabulary.
