一、课型:Listening and speaking
二、教学目标:
1. 知识技能目标
(1)词汇:掌握festival, spring Festival, ready, get ready for, clean, cook, meal, dragon, dragon dance, lantern, sweep, sweep away, floor, happen, help, at work 等词语,并能围绕本课话题,运用所学词语描述春节前的准备活动。
(2)语法:继续学习现在进行时,掌握现在进行时的一般疑问句及简短回答,能够使用这一语法功能项目进行交流。
(3)语音:掌握三个辅音音素/l/, /w/ 和/j/。
(4)技能:能听辨动词词组;能听懂人们谈论正在如何为节日做准备的对话;能用现在进行时进行问答练习。
2. 情感目标:乐于接触异国重大节日;乐于参与相关英语实践活动。
学习策略:通过图和短语相配并进行问答练习,掌握现在进行时的问句结构及相应答语。
文化意识:了解中国春节以及为之进行的准备活动,同时加强学生对其他中外节日的了解。
3. 教学重点和难点:让学生学会图文相配;运用与春节话题相关的话语来描述图片,讲述春节前的准备活动,进一步掌握现在进行时并运用其问句形式进行交流。
三、教学过程
Step1. Warming-up
活动:brainstorm of the word “festival”
T: Q: Do you like festivals? Why? What kind of festivals do you like, western or Chinese? What festivals do you know? (Showing some pictures)
Step 2. Vocabulary
活动1:introduce new words and phrases
T:Q: What’s the most important festival in China? What do you think people usually do to get ready for Spring Festival?
T: Collect the things that people do on the blackboard, get the students to read them.
活动2:match and listen
(1) S: match the phrases with the pictures and read them after the teacher.
(2) S: listen and check
(3) T: set an example: She’s cooking the meal.
S: use completed sentences to describe the pictures.
Step 3. Listening and reading

T:Q: What are Lingling and her family doing? Where’s Lingling’s father?
活动2:listen and read
