一、教学目标:
1. 让学生们掌握单词及短语的拼写及用法;
2. 让学生们明确理解课文内容;
3. 通过学习课文,让学生们更加坚定学习英语的信念。
二、教学重难点:
1. 能翻译并流利说出课文重点短语的英文表达;
2. 注意短语“leave…for…”, “tand”及句型“It is+形容词+to do sth./ for sb to do sth.”的用法。
三、教具准备:
课件、电脑、多媒体放映、投影仪、录音机等。
四、教学过程:
课前欣赏:
欣赏2008年北京奥运会开幕式歌曲“YOU AND ME”,感受奥运会气氛,引起学生学习英语的兴趣。
I.预习探索(短语大探索)
1. 前往某地: leave for
2. 到达这儿: arrive/get here
3. 在……前面: in front of
4. 超过,多于: more than
5. 许多游客: lots of visitors
6. 讲英语: speak English
7. 带领某人参观某地:take sb. around sp.
8. 努力学习: work hard
9. 观光,游览: do some sightseeing
II. 趣味导入:
(借助视频《中国英语热》引入本个单元的重点,展示奥运会前夕北京人狂热学英语的热度,既引出本节话题: English for Olympic Games又大大激发学生们学习英语的激情和热情。)
III. Listening Time:
Listen to the passage and choose a photo for it.

IV. Reading Time
Fast Reading:
Read the passage quickly and answer the follwing questions.
Questions:
