　　amazing 和amazed
　　amazing是以-ing结尾的形容词,意思为“令人吃惊的”,同义词为surprising,主语一般是事或物.而amazed是以-ed结尾的形容词,意思为“(人)感到吃惊的”,同义词为surprised.主语一般是人. 如:  It is the most amazing thing I have ever heard.   这是我所听过的最惊人的事情. I was amazed to hear the news.  我听到这个消息大为惊讶. 像这样的单词还有interesting和interested. exciting 和excited. frightening 和frightened. tiring 和tired等.
　　travel ,trip 和journey
　　三者都有“旅行,旅游”的意思.但适用范围有所不同.
　　1 travel是表达旅行或旅游最普通的词汇.既可作动词也可作名词.泛指“旅游”时多作不可数名词.不过可以用复数形式表示具体的,一系列的,长途的或到国外进行的旅游或漫游.
　　2 trip在英式英语中主要指短程的观光或旅行.在美式英语中,trip的用法较为广泛.可指乘坐短程交通工具到徒步远足的所有旅行.但多指一个来回或往返.
　　3 journey一般指在陆地上进行的长途旅行,常表示所花的时间及所走的路程都相当长,且有最终不一定要回到原出发地的含义,常蕴含辛苦的意味.
