1. 教材分析:
本单元围绕My neighborhood 为话题,展现了加拿大社区的典型情景,可以使学生了解和思考加拿大社区与中国学生居住环境的异同之处。唤起学生对社区、对他人的责任意识。教育学生为社区服务、为他人着想。通过本单元的学习学生们还可以继续学习方位和地点的表达法。本单元的重点是问路与指路交际用语。
1.1 Lesson 25 No Stopping! 通过Jenny和Brian步行上学途中所见的社区环境,我们可以了解和认识加拿大社区。通过本课的学习,我们可以复习问路的常用表达法,学会辨析一些重要的词和词组.
1.2 Lesson 26 The Best Neighborhood 通过Jenny, Brian和Danny 所描画出的理想社区,我们可以看到不同的人根据自己的实际需要,会有自己喜欢的社区。可以就学生自己的理想社区展开教学,鼓励他们发挥想象力。通过本课的学习,我们可以教育学生热爱自己的社区, 尊重他人,为他人着想。
1.3 Lesson 27 My Map, Your Map, Our Maps! 通过做地图游戏可以学习一些新的方位常用表达法,正确地分辨方位。为学生进一步清楚地问路、指路打基础。
1.4 Lesson 28 Turn Right, Turn Left教学生学唱歌,可以复习、学习问路、指路的常用表达法, 同时让学生注意马路安全
1.5 Lesson 29 My Neighborhood通过Michael介绍自己的社区生活。我们可以一边让学生了解Michael一边对照自己,进行比较。可以让学生提前准备一些照片、图片、自制图画等介绍自己的社区,启发学生进行想象,画出自己理想中的社区。
1.6 Lesson 30 Eat a Donut and Turn Right本课通过Brian找电影院,重点学习并帮助学生归纳总结问路、指路用语。让学生明白指路时要简明、扼要。教学生学会在陌生地方问路。
1.7 Lesson 31 I Need a Map! 通过学习Brian给父母写的信,介绍了Brian在加拿大近来一周的情况。也是对本单元的总结。我们可以让学生以第三人称形式进行复述。同时设计一个给朋友写信指路的活动。复习运用问路、指路常用表达法。
1.8 Lesson 32 Unit Review是复习课。以练习的形式对本单元的词汇、语法和情境交际进行了复习、归纳。
