教学过程
Step1. warming-up
Ask some questions about festival. “Do you like festivals? What festivals does China have? What about western festivals? What is the biggest festival in China?” Let the students answer. (Then show PPT 1 and PPT 2) Write “Module2 Unit 1 we are getting ready for Spring Festival” on the blackboard.
Step2 match the words with the pictures (activity 1)
First, (show PPT 3、4、5 to students )teach them the expressions,and help them say the whole sentences.
Then ask the students to look and match individually,then check with a partner.
Finally, Ask the students to listen to the tape and repeat the expressions after the tape,and check individually.
Step3 listen and read (activity2)
Tell the students that Tony and Betty are having a conversation with Lingling.
First listen to their conversation,answer the questions: 1.what are Lingling and her family doing? 2.where’s Lingling’s father?”
Then play the recording again , and ask the students to listen and read the conversation.
