1. Let me write that down.
让我把那个写下来。
write down意为“写下;记下”,是“动词+副词”类短语。此类短语用名词作宾语时,名词既可置于副词前,也可置于副词之后;用代词作宾语时,代词必须用在副词前。
e.g. You must write down all the words.
= You must write all the words down.
你必须写下所有的单词。
This is my new address. Please write it down. 这是我的新地址,请把它写下来。
2. I love to eat many different foods, but I lits best. 我喜欢吃多种不同的食物,但我最喜欢甜甜圈。
在英语中,表示“虽然”的although和表示“但是”的but不能同时使用,只能使用其中的一个。另外,because和so 也有这种用法。
e.g. She likes singing, but I don't.
她喜欢唱歌,但是我不喜欢。
Because it was raining hard, they didn't work on the farm.
由于下大雨,所以他们没有在农场干活。
【注意】
表示“喜欢”
like/love to do sth.
like/love (doing) sth.
表示“讨厌”
hate to do sth. hate (doing) sth.
3.either 的用法
①作副词,用在否定句句尾表示“也”。
I haven't read this novel before. She hasn't, either.
我没有读过这部小说。 她也没有读过。
②作代词,意为“两者之一”。多用在句式“either of + 名词复数/代词复数”中,其中,名词前需有限定词。
Either of them can do it.
他们俩谁都可以做这件事。
③作形容词,意为“任何一个”。此时either后面直接加名词。
Come on Saturday and Sunday. Either day is OK.
星期六和星期日来吧。这两天哪一天都行。
4. some 和 any 的用法
some一般用于肯定句或陈述句中,any一般用于否定句或疑问句中。
有些情况下,some也可用于疑问句中。
