  Period 1 Warming up and pre-reading
  I.Teaching goals:
  1.           Enable the Ss to know what body language is and understand what a certain gesture of body language means in a given situation.
  2.           Enable the Ss to act out some meanings, requirements , requests or situation given in the target language.
  3.           Enable the Ss to express with the target language the meaning given in body language.
  4. Help the Ss to understand in what condition or cases, body language is used more often. And get to ltural differences & intercultural communication
  II.Teaching important points
  1.           Make the Ss realize body language is as important a spoken written language in different cultures.
  2. Teach the Ss how to use body language in the most appropriate occasions and get to ltural differences & intercultural communication
  III.Teaching difficult points
  Enable the Ss to realize the importance of body language in communication so that little or no misunderstanding may occur.
  V.Teaching Methods
  Skimming method, task-based method, role-play method.
  VI.Teaching Aids:

  Period 4  Learning about language
  I. Teaching goals
  Help the students learn how to use the words or expressions learned in this unit in various situations.
  II. Teaching important points
  The sentence structures with the use of the participles, mainly present participle, used as the attribute and adver¬bial in them.
  III. Teaching difficult points
  How to compare the participles used as the attribute and adverbial with their other functions, such as the predicative and the objective complement, esp. the comparisons be¬tween the functions of the present participle and the gerund.
  V. Teaching methods
  Study independently, learn the grammar by practice.
  VI. Teaching aids   
  A projector and a computer.
  VII.Teaching procedures & ways
  Step 1 Revision
  Check the students' homework.
  Ask the students to go over the texts of "Communication:no problem? and then ask some of them to retell the two reading passages in their own words.
  Step 2 Language points
