  7A Unit 4 Food 教案
  Topic: Unit 4 Period 1 Welcome to the unit
  I. Teaching aims:
  1. New words and phrases: hamburger, energy, hungry, exercise, bowl,
  Useful expressions: You’re always hungry. I need a lot of energy.
  I walk to my bowl many times a day.
  She is writing an article about healthy eating for the club’s website.
  2. Learn to say the names of food in English.
  Be able to express your likes and dislising “I like bananas. What about you?”
  3. Apprehend: People in the west have different diet and life styles.
  If you want to be healthy, you should have healthy eating and lifestytles.
  II. Key points: The new language notes appeared in this period.
  Learn how to express your likes and dislikes.
  III. Teaching aids: Flash cards. Comic pictures.
  IV. Teaching procedures:
  Step 1: Do some revision. Express likes and dislikes. E.g. I like rice but I dislirgers.
  Use adverbs of frequency. E.g. I usually gave fish and vegetables.
  Differentiate between countable and uncountable nouns. E.g. rice, meat, hamburgers…
  Step 2: Show the Ss some pictures. Guess the meaning of the new words.
  Lunchtime: time to have lunch.             Hungry: wanting something to eat.
  Exercise: to do sport to build up one’s body   Energy: power to do things.
  Learn the comic strips: introducing the topic of this unit.
  Listen and read after the tape. Underline some important sentences and give simple explanations.
  Step 3: T: Are you a healthy person? Millie joined an e-club called the Get Fit Club. She is writing an article about healthy eating for the club’s website.
  T: Collect information about different kinds of food. Write and article about yourself and your diet for the Get Fit Club.
  Step 4: Work in pairs and help Mille finish off the table below.
  Differentiate love, like, dislike and hate which indicate different depth of love
  Learn the models: I like bananas. What food do you like? I lirgers.
  Map more sentences using the model above.
  Note: snack---a small amount of food, usually eaten in a hurry, especially between meals.
  fast food--- food sold in a fast-food restaurants, to be eaten quickly or taken away.
  Healthy food--- food that contains a balance of vitamins and nutrients, and not too much in fat and sugar.
  Step 5: Finish off the workbook accordingly.
  Step 6: Homework: copy the new words and expressions in this period. Finish off the paper.
  V. Appendix exercises:
  Topic: Unit 4 Period 2 Reading & Vocabulary
  I. Teaching aims:
  4. New words and phrases: get tired, top, change one’s diet, twice a week, lifestyle etc
  Useful expressions: I get tired when I dance. I need a lot of energy to dance.
  It’s important for a dancer to be healthy.
  I changed my diet because I want to be healthier.
  5. Learn to master the whole article by heart, and try to retell the story in class.
  Be able to understand what is healthy eating and what is good life style.
  6. Apprehend: People in the west have different diet and life styles.
  Try to change your life style if yours isn’t healthy.
  II. Key points: The new language notes appeared in this period.
  Learn how to express your likes and dislikes.
  III. Teaching aids: Flash cards. Comic pictures.
  IV. Teaching procedures:
  Step 1: Do some revision. Ask the Ss their likes and dislikes by getting the Ss to map dialogues and reports one by one.
  Model: I like apples and hamburgers. What about you?
  I don’t lirgers, but I like chicken very much.
  Step 2: Dealing with the reading materials
  Firstly, silently reading the materials by themselves. Then try to answer some of the following questions.
  Q1: What does Kitty want to be when she grows up?
  Q2: What does she need when she dances every day?
  Q3: Why did she change her diet?
  Q4: Does she have a healthy lifestyle?
