  Unit 1 Festivals around the world (说课稿)

  一、说教材、学情
  1、教材分析
  本课为高一必修3第一单元第二节,本单元围绕节日这个题材开展多种教学活动,认识节日的分类以及节日对人们生活的影响,从更深入的层面理解各国节日的意义。本课课型是阅读课,为下个单元的教学内容做铺垫。
  2、学情分析
  (1)知识基础:大部分学生英语交际能力差,少数学生可以完成课堂任务
  (2)思维能力:高一年级学生有较强的记忆力和模仿能力,有待培养学生的知识扩展和运用的能力。
  据上述分析,结合新课程标准提出的基础教育阶段英语课程的总体目标和具体要求,我将本课的学习目标设计为:
   认识节日的分类以及节日对人们生活的影响,从更深入的层面理解各国节日的意义。
   运用略读(skimming)、找读(scanning)、细读(careful reading)等阅读技巧来掌握篇章中心内容,获取阅读文章中的关键信息。
   根据上下文,理解本课的生词、词组,如feast, gather, belief, dress up, play a trick on, admire, poet, look forward, day and night。
  依本课在教材中所处的地位及作用,我将本课的教学重难点设计为:Talt all kinds of festivals and practice students’ reading skills.
  二、说教法和学法
  (一)教法 :“任务型教学法”
  学习语言的过程就是让学生完成各种各样任务的过程。在本课的任务型教学中,我结合教学内容和学生生活实际,设计了学生感兴趣的任务型活动,用相关的图片吸引和组织他们参与,使学生通过观察、思考、讨论、合作、探究等方式,在自然、真实的情境中体会语言,掌握语言应用。
  (二)学法:合作学习
  本课设计了一连串的任务型活动,如:谈论节日对人们生活的影响、各国节Unit 1 Festivals around the world (Book III)

  1.1.1.1.3 For recognizing: solar calendar, carnival, parade, Christian, Easter, Lantern Festival, Arbor Day, Pure Brightness Day, Jesus Christ, the Easter Bunny, hot cross buns, the best bands
  1.1.1.2 Sentence structures:
  ①Festivals are meant to celebrate important times of year. P1
  ②Discuss when they take place, what they celebrate and what people do at that time. P1
  ③Cara suggests that Li Mei change her shoes to something more comfortable, wear some lighter and cooler clothing and also take a hat. P6
  ④Easter customs include making and eating hot cross buns, colouring and searching for eggs supposedly hidden by the Easter Bunny and decorating with lilies. P41

  1.1.1.2 Get Ss to learn to understand the words, expressions and sentence structures from the context.

  1.1.2.1 Train the Ss to get main idea and specific ideas from the passage by means of skimming, word-guessing, close reading, summarizing and comparing, and learn to express their opinions on what they learn about in the passage.
  1.1.2.2 Enable Ss to use the proper learning strategies and promote their reading literacy

  通过第1课时的listening and talking,学生对本单元的话题festivals and celebrations已有所了解,并进一步丰富了一些有关节日活动、节日起源及习俗等的信息和知识,同时激活了学生的思维,为本节课进行短文的阅读和理解提供了支撑。
  2.2 Knowledge reserve知识储备
  第1课时的listening and talking,围绕festivals and celebrations这个话题,让学生复习和扩展了部分用于节日介绍的词汇和句子,为本节课的阅读理解和表达奠定了基础。
  2.3 Class data本班实际
  本班学生在第一课时的listening and talking中对听力理解的把握较好,但talking的参与度不够好,说明学生对节日话题的英文表达还不够熟悉,还有待在后面的阅读中扩展相关词汇和表达形式。
