  Unit 1 Getting to
  Topic 3 What’s your telephone number ?
  Section A
  Details of procedures ;
  Step 1 Revision of English letters
  Sing ABC song
  Step 2 Lead and elicitation
  1.)Show some number cards to the students . Ask them “ What are they ? ” ( numbers )
  2.)Listen to the tape . ( numbers from 0 to 10 )
  3.)The students read numbers after the teacher , the teacher picp one of the cards at random .
  Step 3 Input
  1.)Say these numbers ( look and say on P 17 ) .
  Ask the students to practice saying numbers with their partners .
  2.)Check the answers .
  3.)Show some number cards to the students and ask them to say the telephone numbers .
  Step 4 Lead-in of dialogue
  1.)Ask some students “ What’s your name ?” “ What’ s your number ?”write students’ answers on the blackboard .
  2.)Teach students the word “ grade ”.
  The teacher demonstrate how to use expression “ I am in Grade one .”
  Write the sentence on the blackboard and explain it ,ask the students guess the meaning , practice using “ I am in Grade …”
  3.)Have students to practice using “ What grade are you in ?” “ I am in Grade One . ” “ Are you in Grade Two ? ”
  Step 5 Listen to the tape ( 4b )
  Before listening to the tape , elicit students to answer questions :
  “ What class are you in ? ”
  “ What class is Michael in ?”
  “ What grade is Michael  in ? ”
  Step 6 Output
  1.)The teacher asks one student “ Are you …” “ Are you in Grade …” “ Are you in Class …”
  The teacher asks another student the same questions , but students’ answers are negative .
  2.)Ask some students to practice introducing themselves including the sentences  
  we learnt just now .
  Step 7 Drill
  Listen to the tape again and read after the tape . Practice in group ( using their own names )

  Details of procedures :
  Step 1 Revision of numbers
  1)Show cards to the students , and ask them to say the numbers ( 0 – 10 )
  2)Question : What’s your telephone number ? 
  One student says his / her telephone number , anoth
