  Unit 1 Grammar and Usage
  Teaching Aims:
   To learn what the noun clause is.
   To learn how to tell noun clauses from other clauses.
   To consolidate the usage of noun clauses by doing exercises.
  Teaching Procedure:
  Step One: Leading-in
  Give the students some examples and let them judge what kind of noun clauses they are. And see how much they know about noun clauses.[]
  Step Two: noun clauses  
  Explain the noun clause and the functions of it.
  Noun clauses are used as noun, acting as subject ,object ,predicative and appositive in the sentence.
  Do an exercise to see if the students understand .
  Step Three: more about usage of noun clauses 
  1. the order of noun clause
  2. the conjunction
  3. the difference of attributive clause and appositive clause
  4. the noun clauses beginning with that or if/whether
  Step Four: practice
  Asdents to do some exercises to consolidate what they have learnt.
  Step Five: homework
  More exercises about noun clauses.

  Unit 1 Project
  Teaching Aims:
   To learn the passage
   To help students to understand how animals used their own unique senses over the long process of evolution.
   Prepare a TV show about how the animal uses its senses.
  Teaching Procedure:
  Step One: lead in
  Asdents what they know about sharks.
  Show them the pictures of sharks and tell them the shark species.
  Step Two: reading the article about shark attacks
  1. Fast reading. Asdents some questions about the passage.
  2. Detailed reading. Help students to get detailed information about sharks.
  Step Three: reading the article about pigeons
  1. Ask them read the article and answer some questions based on the article.
  2. Ask them more questions about how the animal uses its senses.[]
  Step Three: Language Points
  Asdents to fill in the blanks and help them understand some important words and phrases.
  Show some useful phrases and let them tell the meanings of them.
  Step Four: project
  Asdents to discuss and prepare a TV show about how the animals uses its senses.
  Step five : homework
  Finish the project
