Whether it is a drop of the head or a roll of the eyes, we can tell others how we’re feeling without saying a word.
According to Allan Pease, author of Body Language in the Workplace, our ability to express ourselves can influence our success. Having spent much of his time focusing on the communication skills of adults, Mr Pease is now turning his attention to educating children on the importance of understanding body language.
Mr Pease has created a 10-weerse aimed to teach children the basics of body language and has been teaching it to a class of seven-year-old Sunshine Coast Grammar School students. “Over 10 weeks these children learned how to introduce themselves, impress people quicse the power of facial expressions, and use friendly gestures to avoid bad signals. ”he said.
