　　Wang Yun, 21, from Beijing University, found that her friends were all occupied with their smart phones during a high school friends meeting. Or they were busy taking pictures of their meal and sending them to their micro blogs. For a while, silence fell. “I thought we had a lot of topics to share, but few people were interested in talking,”she said. “It seemed that there’s a huge gap between me and my friends.”
　　The New York Times published an article recently, feeling sorry for the “death of conversation”. It suggests that while new technologies such as cell phones and e-mails mas feel more connected than ever, they’re actually driving us away from people around us.
　　Sherry Turthor of the article, says people are accustomed to a new way of being “alone together”. Actually, sending text messages or writing micro blogs allows us to exchange thoughts. But bits and pieces of online connection cannot take the place of a real conversation.
