Unit 20 Disability
一、教学目标与要求
通过本单元教学,学生更为关注残疾人和助残事业。了解在残疾人中所涌现的杰出的代表人物,如:斯蒂芬·霍金、贝多芬等和他们对人类所做出的巨大贡献。学习对残疾人应抱有的正确态度。通过学习,学生应能运用所学语言简述目前中国的残疾人现状和我们应采取的助残措施;使学生对残疾人更有爱心,对助残事业更有热心;学习并初步掌握倒装句的用法;正确完成练习册安排的练习。
二、教学重点与难点

1.向学生提出下列问题:Now let’s look at the picture on Page 77.First I want you to tell me what you can see in the picture.(An entrance to a big hotel.A young man is talking with an old man who is in an wheelchair.)Why do you think the man is in the wheelchair?(He is a disabled person.)OK.Now let’s listen to the dialogue and see what they are talking about.
2.准备放对话录音。借助投影片打出以下听前提问:1)What’s the weather like?2)The tourist is a disabled person,why is he travelling in China?3)Where is the old man going to travel tomorrow?
放录音一至两遍,请学生回答上述问题,教师予以必要订正。
