一、 学情分析与教材分析
高中生已基本了解如何应用电脑和网络,因此,利用他们对电脑知识的兴趣激发他们阅读思考的热情,突破电脑、网络带给我们的利弊。
本单元中心话题为“Computers”, 内容涉及电脑的发展历史、作用。本课为本单元的第一课时,旨在通过任务型课堂活动和学习,让学生知道电脑的发展史,如何正确使电脑服务于人类,并掌握一定的阅读策略。
二、 教学目标
1. 知识目标
(1) Get Ss to learn the useful new words & expressions in this part.
(2) Let Ss learn about the history and basic knowledge of computers.
2. 能力目标
(1) Develop Ss’ reading ability and train their integrated skills.
(2) Enable Ss to learn to express their opinions.
3. 情感目标
(1)Arouse Ss’ interest in learning computers and let them learn to use computers properly in their daily lives.
(2) Develop Ss’ awareness of cooperative learning.

1. Let Ss learn more about the history and basic knowledge of computers.

Step 1 Pre-reading
1. Show Ss some pictures of computer to lead in the new topic and talt them by using the following expressions:
I think that…
In my opinion, …
I believe that…
2. Warm up by discussing the questions on Warming up.
3. Look at the title and the pictures to predict what the content of the reading passage is about.
Step 2 While-reading
1. Skim the passage for the general idea to checr prediction and fill in the chart with the topic sentence of each paragraph.
