1.(让学生以接力的形式复述课文English around the World。)
T: Nice to meet you, let’s review English around the World. Who can? Hands up, please. S1, will you?
S1: About 3 000 languages are spond the world. Among all of these languages, English is the most widely used...
(学生复述一小会儿后。)
T: Stop here, please. Very good! Another student, S2, please!
S2: ...
S3: ...
S4: ...
(学生可以用自己的语言复述课文,可能存在一些小错误,教师不必中间打断纠正,让学生一个接一个地把课文复述完整。)
T: How clever you are! We know how important English is! We should study hard at English. Right?

Sleepy
T: What does “sleepy” mean? It means “need sleep, ready to go to sleep”.
For example: He’s sleepy, he wants to go to bed.

(本部分新词的导入没有采用常规的直接注出英语单词的汉语解释的方法,而是先用英语解释该单词。再举例子,最后才给出汉语意思。这样避免了填鸭式教学,能激发学生多动脑筋来学习。)
