教材分析:
本单元的中心话题是“出国旅游”。
Warming Up 部分通过两个与旅游相关的问题,逐步把学生引入到“旅游”这个话题。在繁重的学习压力之下,同学们一定非常喜欢旅游。所以,该话题让学生们兴趣得到了提升,分享他们喜欢旅游的国家、旅游的目的地、旅游的目的等从而达到热身的目的。
Pre-reading 部分提出了两个问题:1.学生是否喜欢旅游?学生喜欢的旅游目的地?2. 在国外学习的优势和劣势是什么?这一部分提供了多幅照片帮助同学们猜想,这样就把“热身”部分的问题具体化了。同学会自然结合自己的所见所闻,发表观点,为阅读正文打下了基础。
Reading 部分描写了中国姑娘谢蕾出国上学的经历,具体写了她出国前的不安,到了国外后的不适应,以及生活上的不习惯和学习方法及思维方式的冲突。但经过她的努力,她克服了这一切,并开始了崭新的生活。谢蕾的经历会给同学们带来挑战新生活的信心,感受到外国文化及人文气息。
学情分析:
高中学生对世界充满着好奇心,乐于接受新鲜事物,对于出国旅游和留学这样的话题非常感兴趣。而且这篇文章是中国大学生的亲身经历,学生学起来会更加容易产生共鸣。在语言技能方面,该篇文章还较长,因此训练学生的翻译能力和长难句处理的能力就显得非常重要,这也是高中英语教学的重头戏。
教学目标:
1. Grasp the main idea of the text and each paragraph.
2. Learn how to fit in well with foreign study life.
3. Improve reading ability and their team –work ability.
重点难点:
(1)Grasp the words and expressions of the unit;
(2)Grasp non-restrictive attributive clauses;
(3)Know about cross-cultural communication ability。

这堂课基本达到了预先设计的目标。总体上来说整堂课氛围比较好,学生在自主、合作、探究的气氛中愉快度过。同时,在老师循序渐进地引导下,学生对文章由浅入深、比较细致地了解了文章,同时促进了学生的跨文化教育,效果较好。但同时也有所思:
首先,导入部分有点生硬。在一开始由旅游导入话题后,紧接着便话锋一转,链接到了在国外学习,感觉有点牵强。如何能更好地转换思路,使两者有效结合起来,需要自己继续琢磨。
其次,教学内容是根据我班学生的实际情况设计的,精读和快读的问题难度适中,满足了不同类型和不同层次学生的要求。但设计的问题的数量是不是有点多,特别是根据每段回答问题和句子翻译部分。
再次,学生朗读课文的时间较少,也没有听文章的录音,所以本节课在“听”方面是不是存在硬伤?
