2016高考训练题----阅读理解。
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C、D)中,选出最佳选项。
An artist in Oakland, California is using his skills to help the homeless. Greg Kloehn builds very small shelters that make life on the streets a little more comfortable. The structures offer the homeless some safety and protection from bad weather. Each little house also has wheels on the bottom so it can go wherever its owner goes.
Greg Kloehn has given away at least 20 tiny houses. Several are on the roadside near an active railroad. On a recent day, Mr. Kloehn stops at one to visit Oscar Young. The two men hug. Inside his little shelter Mr. Young gets relief from cold nights on the streets. Mr. Kloehn also visits Sweet-Pea, another friend who also lives in one of the little homes the artist built. She says it keeps her safe and protects her belongings.
In the mornings, Mr. Kloehn searches the streets for building materials. He gathers what he can and takes it to his studio. There, he puts the houses together. Empty coffee bags become roof material. A washing machine door and refrigerator part become windows. Nails, screws and the stice hold all the pieces together. The artist also attaches a small electrical device to the house. The device is powered by the sun.

2016高考选练----阅读理解。
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C、D)中,选出最佳选项。
Born in 1983 in Linyi, Shandong Province, Chen Zhou had an unhappy childhood. When he was only six years old, his parents got divorced. He had to leave his hometown and began wandering at the age of eight. What’s worse, he lost his legs in a train accident.
Faced with various difficulties, he never gave up. To make a living, he used to sell newspapers, polish shoes for others, and repair electrical equipment. Anyway, he decided to be a singer in the end. Now Chen Zhou has been a little famous for his songs. “God took my legs away, but I will make them up.” he said.
He has strived to achieve more than most able-bodied people would even dream of. He has married and has a beautiful wife and a pair of children. “I can make my life meaningful, though I have no legs.” he said.
Chen Zhou is more than a traveling musician. He is a mountain climber, an inspirational speaker and an advocate for the disabled. It is hard enough to climb up a mountain when you have got two legs, but for legless Chen Zhou reaching the summit is an extraordinary achievement, considering he can do so only by using his arms. In fact, he has climbed all of China’s five great mountains including Mount Tai 11 times. To walk up those steps with his arms, he used a pair of home-made wooden boxes that each weighs seven pounds.

阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D)中,选出最佳选项。
【题文】D
The Pew report---which was based on surveys carried out in Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Poland and the Czech Republic --- concluded that the European Union was “ the new sick man of Europe”.
The percentage of Europeans with a favorable view of the EU has plunged from 60 percent last year to 45 percent now.
The UK may be considered the most Eurosceptic(欧洲怀疑论者)country, but its support for the union has barely changed in the past 12 months, slipping only two points to 43 percent.
By contrast, France’s backing for the EU has slipped sharply, from 60 percent last year to 41 percent today.
On the question of whether to remain in the EU, 46 percent of the British want to leave the union and surprisingly, the same percentage went to stay.
