一、课程设计
(一)学习内容
Reading and Vocabulary
该部分的课文由六个段落组成,分别介绍了毕加索、罗伊-利希滕斯坦、齐白石、徐悲鸿等四位世界级著名艺术家及艺术风格以及如何表达自己对作品的喜恶。因此,在阅读的过程中,要求学生通过阅读,能够介绍自己的艺术家和艺术作品并能够用词汇表达自己对知名作品的喜欢或厌恶。
(二)学习重点
能识别文章中的生词并能理解他们在有关语境中的意义;理解介绍艺术家和艺术作品的文段,获取有关信息及作者的观点;能流利地介绍自己喜欢或熟悉的艺术家和艺术作品。
(三)学习难点
学生掌握描述艺术家及其风格的词汇和表达方式。
二、学情分析
此课程的设计针对市中等以上的学生,经过第一册的学习,已经基本适应高中生活。具有一定的学习基础,能够理解课文的主要内容,但是在口头表达方面还需要继续训练。
三、设计理念
1、通过图片的导入,引发学生对于艺术的兴趣。
2、让学生在讨论中外著名的艺术家和艺术作品的过程中,学会表达对艺术作品的看法。
3、通过任务型阅读,让学生参与设计的英语活动中,在潜移默化中淡化对学习英语的恐惧,获得学习英语的乐趣。
四、学习目标
1、 To have the students introduce their favorite artists and their famous works.
2、 To get the students to understand the texts well.
3、 To write some sentences to describe a famous artist.
4、 Pay attention to the word “consider”.
五、教学流程
(一)课前准备
Step 1: Pre-reading
Asdents to show the pictures that they have prepared and introduce the pictures to the other students by using the following sentence patterns.
1) This is the picture painted by…
2) It belongs to … (style)
3) I like it because…
(二)新课导入
Step 2: Leading-in
1. Asdents to enjoy several series of pictures and ask them to tell what style they belong to.
2. Show some Chinese traditional paintings to the students.
(三)新课呈现
Step 3: Fast-reading
1. Read the passage A-D quickly and match paintings 1-4 with descriptions in paragraphs and finish Activity 2 in page 32.
2. Check the answers together.
Step 4: Careful-reading
Read the passage A-D carefully and do the following exercises.
Passage A:
