  一、阅读理解
Astronauts in the space stations for long missions often work very long days. Tasks are scheduled(安排) so tightly that break times are often used to finish the day’s work. It’s especially hard for long missions on the International Space Station (ISS). ISS crew members usually live in space for at least a quarter of a year. They work five days on and two days off to mimic the normal way they do things on Earth as much as possible. Weekends give the crew valuable time to rest and do a few hours of housework. They can communicate with family and friends by email, Internet phone and through private video meetings.
While astronauts cannot go to a baseball game or a movie in space, there are many familiar activities that they can still enjoy. Before a mission, the family and friends of each ISS crew member put together a collection of family photos, messages, videos and reading materials for the astronauts to look at when they will be floating 370 kilometers above the Earth. During their mission, the crew also receives care packages with CDs, books, magazines, photos and letters. Today, the Internet can be used on the ISS, giving astronauts the chance to do some “web surfing” in their personal time. Besides relaxing with these more common entertainments, astronauts can simply enjoy the experience of living in space.
Many astronauts say that one of the most relaxing things to do in space is to loot of the window and stare at the universe and the Earth’s vast land mass and oceans.

(题文)MySpace, the social networking website,is different from other websites which only provide stories about other people. MySpace is a place that allows you to broadcast your own stories and personal information to as many people as you like. Started two years ago,it is a big source of information for and  about American kids.
Teenagers and their parents feel very different about it. Teens are rushing to join the site, not sharing their parents’ worries. It signals yet another generation gap in the digital era.
For teenagers,it is reliable network to keep in touch with their friends. They will often list their  surnames,birthdays,after-school jobs, school clubs, hobbies and other personal information.
“MySpace is an easy way to reach just about everyone. I don’t have all the phone numbers of my acquaintances. But if I want to get in touch with one of them,I could just leave them a message on MySpace,”said Abby Van Wassen. She is a 16-year-old student at Woodland Hills High of Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania.
Parents on the other hand are seriously concerned about the security problems of MySpace. “Every time we hold a parents meeting, the first question is always about MySpace,”said Kent Gates, who travels the country doing Internet safety seminars(研讨会).The National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children has received at least 288 MySpace - related complaints, according to Mary Beth Buchanan,a lawyer in Pittsburgh.

Although his 1-year-old smart-phone still works perfectly, Li Jijia already feels the need to replace it.
“There are many better ones available now. It's time to upgrade(更新)my phone.”
Li’s impatience is shared by many. Shortly after the season when new products are released(发布,发售), many consumers feel the urge to upgrade their electronic equipment, even though the ones they have still worst fine.
As consumers’ minds are occupied by Apple’s newly released products and debate whether the Google tablet is better than the new Amaindle, it might be time to take a step back and ask: “Do we really need the latest upgrades?”
According to Donald Norman, an American author, “planned obsolescence (淘汰)” is the trick behind the upgrading culture of today’s consumer electronics industry.
Electronics producers strategically release new upgrades periodically, both for hardware and software, so that customers on every level feel the need to buy the newest version.
“This is an old-time trick---they’re not inventing anything new,” N
