  PART 1   UNDERSTANDING OF THE TEACHING MATERIAL AND THE STUDENTS
  1. STATUS AND FUNCTION
  The lesson will be divided into two periods. In Period One, students learn different kinds of music, learn some new words which are used to describe music, and learn to identify topic words while listening. Period Two which I pick up today is aimed at serving the function of listening and speaking.
  2. TEACHING KEY POINTS
  1. Learn to give opinions
  2. Listen to a talnderstand speakers’ opinions on different music
  3. According to what we learn and practice in the lesson, students can express their opinions about music.
  3. TEACHING DIFFICULTIES
  1. Listen to a long talnderstand the speakers’ opinions on different music.
  2. Our students are afraid of making mistakes in speaking English, so it’s not easy for them to open their mouth and speak English. So knowing how to use some words and expressions freely and putting them into use in real communication may be difficult.
  4. ANALYSIS OF THE STUDENTS
  On one hand, most of the students have adapted themselves to Senior High English learning through various activities, but they still feel pessimistic about English; they think it difficult to learn it well. And they seldom open their mouth and speak English, because they are afraid of making mistakes. On the other hand, the college entrance examination adds the oral English test to require students to pay more attention to their listening and speaking. Therefore, we should constantly arouse their interest in learning English, especially oral English.
  PART 2   TEACHING AIMS AND DEMANDS
  1. Knowledge aims
  (1) To consolidate some key words or sentences used to describe music
  (2) To learn some expressions to give opinions; and practice expressing one’s opinions
  (3) To talt music
  2. Ability aims
  (1) To improve students’ listening and speaking abilities.
  (2) Through different tasdents’ communicative and cooperative abilities will be well trained.
  (3) According to the new concepts of new curriculums, it is very important and effective to let the students learn English actively through various activities. So I will create some real situations for the students to practice what they learned, and make them face the real masters in class while the teacher myself acts as a director, and just guide them how to learn English. I think it is more important than just ask them to remember some words and expressions. And I believe this will help to lay the foundation for their future learning and lifelong learning.
  3. Moral aims
  (1) To madents enjoy themselves while learning so that we can enjoy a happy and harmonious atmosphere in class, thus greatly improving students’ interest in English
  (2) To guide the students how to adjust themselves properly when they are tired or feel tense.
  (3) To help students know the beauty and effects of music

  T: Good morning, everyone. At first , it is my honor to come here with you. Do you often listen to music?学生回答:Yes. Do you lisic? 学生回答:yes or no.
  Ok. Today we learn Unit 5 Music listening and speaking. Before the class, we see the learning aims. From the aims, we know that this topic is music. The fisrt step is making a guess. Let ‘s listen to some songs and you try to guess the name of songs. Ready, go!!
  Step one: lead in : Making a guess(猜歌名)
  T:  Q1- What is the name of the song?
  Q2- What kind of music is it?
  Step two: Voice your opinion
  T: Do you like the song<真的爱你>?I like the song because it is touching and makes me think of my mother’ love. What about you? What kind of music do you like? Tell the reasons. I also have some useful expressions for you.(学生齐读读句型)
