教学目标
1. 通过对课文词句的再认知和演练,掌握基本含义和用法。
2. 通过机械训练和情景运用,提高语言的生成能力。
重点、难点
重点:词汇的基本含义和衍生用法。
难点:动词的意义和搭配。
设计思想
本课建立在对课文内容充分掌握的基础之上,着重强化学生对语言形式的认知,夯实语言知识基础。每个词汇的用法皆回归课文,适当展开,加以句型操练等形式联系和适时的情景运用,提高学生的词汇基础知识和运用技能。
重点句法
1. I feel lucky to have won a place on this trip.[L2]能获得了这个机会我很荣幸。
【语言点讲解】to have done是动词不定式的完成式,此形式表示不定式动作发生在主句谓语动词之前。e.g. 他干了这样一件事真疯了。It’s crazy of him to have done such a thing.
【仿练】很抱歉给你带 sorry to have brought you so much trouble.
2. Near the city was a volcano.[9]
【句法分析】此句是完全倒装结构(地点状语+谓语+主语)。这种倒装可以对主语进行强调。
e.g. On the left is a map of China.
【仿练】河上是一座砖桥。 Over the river lies/is a brick bridge.
3. Many people were buried alive and so was the city. [L11]
【句法分析】此句是并列句,由并列连词and连接,第二个句子是倒装省略句。so置于句首,句式要采取倒装。alive是形容词,意为“活的”,用做主语补足语。
1) so+助动词+主语。此句型意为和上文有同样地情况,用在肯定句中。
e.g. Jack昨天打篮球了,他的弟弟也是。Jack played basketball yesterday, and so did his brother.
2) nor/neither +助动词+主语。此句型意为和上文有同样地情况,但用在否定句中
【仿练】1) 你很聪明,你儿子也一样。 You are clever and so is your son.
2) 他没去过那儿。我也没去。He hasn’t been there and nor have I.
3) 如果你不出席明天的讲座,那我也不去了。
If you don’t attend tomorrow’s lecture, neither / nor will I.
4. Today I saw the ancient Roman city of Pompeii as it was 2,000years ago . [14]
【句法分析】此句是复合句,由as引导的方式状语从句,as意为“像…一样”, 也可意为“按照,依照, 正如”。
You look great as you are. 【译英】像你现在的样子就很棒!
When at Rome, do as the Romans do. 【译英】入乡随俗。
【仿练】你得接受现在的情况。You must take things as they are
5. When I walnd the city, I saw streets just as they had been, with stepping stones along the road so you did not have to step in the mud on rainy days! [19-20]
【句法分析】此句是复合句,划线部分是主句部分,when引导时间状语从句部分,as引导的是方式状语从句,介词短语with…road是定语成分,修饰streets, so引导的是结果状语从句。
6. The city was forgotten for many years until the 18th century when a famer discovered a stone with writing on it.
【句法分析】此句是复合句,含有when引导的定语从句,修饰先行词the 18th century;until在此句是介词,意为直到..时候, the 18th century是until的宾语。
【句型讲解】1) until可用作介词,也可作连词引导时间状语从句。注意点:主句谓语动词是延续性动词时,主句句式必须是肯定句,意为“一直…到…为止”。如果是瞬间动词,主句句式必须为否定句,即not …until…意为“直到…才…”。
e.g. I worntil 12 o’clock last night. (wait延续性动词)
She didn’t come in until I called her. (come是瞬间动词,所以主句用否定)
【仿练】1) 我一直等到他醒来。I waited until he wop.
2) 我一直等到他醒来才离开。 I didn’t leave until he wop.
【句型讲解】2) with writing on it是介词短语作定语修饰a stone。由with+宾语+宾补的介词短语也可做状语,常见结构如下:
1)with + n.+ adv.
With so many trees around, our school
lootiful.
2) with + n. + to do
With so much work to do, I had to get up early and hurry to the workshop.
3) with + n. + past participle
With all the work done on time , he felt relaxed.
4) with + n. + present participle
