　　The Three Gorges Dam教学设计
　　一、本节内容的地位、作用：
　　本节课是本模块教学的第二课时，由Reading and vocabulary部分构成，围绕着本单元模块的中心话题“The Three Gorges Dam”，课标要求通过学习不仅增进学生对三峡大坝的了解，而且学生能够得到更多关于这一建设的利弊的情况进行思考，开阔眼界，增强民族自豪感。
　　二、本节内容分析：
　　本节课在设计上体现了听说读写四种技能的综合运用。课前通过播放“长江三峡”的视频引导学生对长江三峡的了解为学习课文做铺垫，再通过伟人毛泽东游泳的图片导入本模块中心话题“The Three Gorges Dam”，唤起了学生求知的欲望，阅读的热情。阅读部分采用了任务型教学的方式，让学生体验和运用语言。随后将听说结合起来，让学生懂得如何谈论这一建设的利弊的情况。接着通过小组合作的形式，在生动的应用活动中理解所学的知识并解决实际问题，同时促进语言知识、交际技能与情感体验的衔接。最后给学生布置了把对话内容写成一段小文章的写作任务。
　　三．学习目标（ Learning Aims）:
　　1.Master the words and phrases ；canal，gorge，hydro-electric，reservoir，construction，relic，generate，harness，historical， poem，submerge，dream of，come true，hold back
　　2. To improve the Ss’ reading ability.
　　3.Let the students know and tell about more about advantages and disadvantages of the Three Gorges Dam.
　　Important points:  Full understanding of the text by using different reading skills.
　　Difficult points:   How to improve the students’ abilities and talk in class actively.
　　四．教学过程（Teaching producers:）
　　在教学过程中，可以把本节课的教学内容设计为六个步骤：
　　Step 1. Leading-in
　　Ask the Ss to look at a picture and enjoy a poem
