  (一)重点单词
  1. tiny  adj. 微小的;极小的
  tiny的基本意思是“极小的”“微小的”,指与大多数同类事物或其他事物相比较而显得特别小。在句中多用作定语,偶尔也可用作表语,可用于比较等级。如:
  Two tiny tigers take two taxis to town. 两只小老虎乘坐出租车穿过城镇。

  (三)核心句型

  (1)afford  v. 提供,供应得起,给予,通常和can, can't ,be able to 连用,表示“付得起”的意思。如:
  I'd love to go on holiday but I can't afford the time.我倒想去度假, 可是抽不出时间来.
  (2) what’s more 常用作插入语,意为“更重要的是;而且,另外”,表示递进,独立使用,more后面不加词或句子既可以放句首,也可以放句中。如:

  该记住它,更重要的是,应该正确理解它。
  2. I’m happy to see she’s busy working every day.我高兴地看到她每天忙着工作。
  be busy doing sth.=be busy with sth.忙于做某事,如:
  I’m busy with my homework.=I’m busy doing my homework. with后面接事(sth.),没有with的话后面要接做什么事(doing sth.)。
  3. I hope I can live long enough to see your children! 我希望能够活足够长的时间来看看你的孩子!
  (1)“形容词或副词+enough to+动词原形”,其意为“足够地……可以……”。如:
  He is old enough to take care of himself. 他大了,能照顾自己了。
  Is the river deep enough to swim in? 在这条河里游泳水够深吗?
  (2)若enough前出现否定词,则不仅否定了enough,而且也否定其后的不定式。如:
  He was not strong enough to do the work. 他不够强壮,不能做这工作。
  (3)该句型有时可与so [such]…that结构转换。如:
  He is rich enough to buy a plane. 他很有钱,可以买一架飞机。
  →He is so rich that he can buy a plane. 他很有钱,可以买一架飞机。
  有时该句型也可与too…to句型转换。如:
  He is too young to go to school. 他太小,还不能上学。
  →He is not  old enough to go to school. 他还不够大,还不能上学。
  Ⅳ.完形填空。
