教材分析
Teachers分三部分:Reading向学生提供了师生互相展开美好回忆、互为介绍的两篇小短文,表现了深厚的师生情;Grammar 通过一系列的活动,帮助学生掌握wish和should have的用法;Language in Use 的活动旨在使学生在情景中学会灵活运用wish和should have。
第一课时
First Period
教学目标
1. Read two passages about describing a student and a teacher, use the expressions to retell the text or to describe a teacher.
2. Enable the students to talt teachers and educate them to show love and respect for teachers.
3. Help the students to talt teachers and show love and respect for teachers.
教学重难点
1. Use reading skills to understand the two passages.
2. Students will be asked to write a passage about their own teacher who helped them a lot.
教学方法
Scanning, skimming and discussing.
教具准备
A recorder, a computer and a projector.
教学过程与方式
Step I Lead-in
Talt teacher’s own favorite teacher.
Ask the Ss to work in pairs and discuss the two questions: Who was your favourite teacher at primary and junior high school? Why did you like him / her?
After a while, check the students’ discussion.
Step II Reading
Ask the students to read the texts on page 40 and learn about what a student and a teacher thint each other.
Listen, read the texts fast and try to answer the following questions.
1 Who is the student and who is the teacher?
2 What is the student now and when did he met his teacher?
3 What subject did the teacher teach the student and where?
Careful reading
Give Ss a few minutes to read the texts carefully and get more detailed information about it. Do Exercise 2 on page 40 and try to answer the questions in it.
After a few minutes, check the answers together.
Test your memory
Ask Ss to complete the text and sentences according to the passage from memory.
Step III Discussion
Ask the Ss to exchange ideas about what makes a good teacher. Encourage them express their ideas.
