　　一、教学目标与要求
　　了解加拿大的概况、因努伊特人的历史和现状以及学习主谓一致的用法是本单元的教学重点。学生能应在理解的基础上，用自己组织的语言，重点介绍加拿大的概况，如国土面积、人口、天气情况、主要资源及生产情况等。同时还应能叙述有关因努伊特人的情况；通过学习主谓一致的语法规则，了解并初步掌握一些常见的主谓一致现象；正确完成练习册安排的练习。

　　Yes，you are right．Different people speak different English．For example，people from the USA speak American English；people from England speak British English；and people from Australia speastralian English．What about people coming from Canada？Yes．They speak Canadian English．
　　2．准备放对话录音。借助投影片打出以下听前提问：Are there many differences between American English and Canadian English？放录音一遍，请学生回答上述问题，教师予以必要订正。
　　Key：No．There are just a few differences between American English and Canadian Eng－lish．
　　3．根据本课对话内容，教师再提出一些问题，检查学生的理解程度。
