  Part One   Analysis of Teaching Material
  I. Status and Function
  This lesson combines reading and writing. It aims to improve the student reading and writing abilities, especially for writing ability to send emails describing festivals. It also provides some new languages points for the students to master.
  II. Teaching Aims and Demands
  The teaching aims are based on Senior High School English syllabus.
  1. Knowledge objects
  (1) To learn and master the new words and phrases
  (2) To make the students learn to write an email to describe festivals.
  (3) To know the structure of email.
  2. Ability objects
  (1)To train the students integrating skills, especially the writing skill
  (2) To improve the students logical thinking ability in contrast by comparison.
  3. Emotion objects
  (1) To develop students’ cross-culture communicative consciousness.
  (2) To enable students to use the modern technique for communication.
  III. Key Points and Difficult Points
  Key points:
  (1) To help the students master the new words and phrases.
  (2) To help the students use the essential factors to write an email describing a Chinese festival.
  Difficult points:
  (1) How to find out the essential factors for describing festivals through reading.
  (2) How to enable the students to write a better email about a Chinese festival.
  Part Two  Analysis of Students 
  The students of senior two have learned some grammatical items and useful expressions. They can take part in varieties of activities like some hot topics related to their daily life, such as Christmas and some Chinese festivals. So the psychological characteristics of them are that they are full of curiosity and are eager to learn and show what they have known. But they lack systematic knowledge of English for their integrating skills. In this lesson, especially the writing skill should be improved.
  Part Three  Analysis of Teaching Methods
  1.Task-based languge teaching method
  2. Situational languge teaching method
  Part Four  Analysis of Learning Method
  1.Teach the students how to be successful language learners.
  2.Let the students pass “observation-imitation-practice” to study language
  3.Improve the students cooperative learning skills to make them active in class.
