  【教材分析】
  本节课选自外研版高一英语必修二第三模块Reading and vocabulary部分。本模块主题是音乐,该主题深受学生喜爱,容易引起学生的兴趣和共鸣。
  课文主要介绍了十八世纪三位西方音乐家:海顿、莫扎特和贝多芬的生平及创作。文章本身比较枯燥。如何深入挖掘教材,利用音乐作为有效的载体,使得本篇课文学习既具趣味性,充满情感体验,又能引领学生获取足够的语言知识与技能,让“其貌不扬”的文章“活”起来,实现英语学科“人文性”与“共具性”的统一,是本节课要重点思考和解决的问题。
  【学情分析】
  本节课授课对象为高一年级学生。学生已初步形成了用英语思维的良好习惯,也具备了一定的用英语发表自己看法、观点和感受的能力;能够积极投入小组讨论合作,利于语言输出活动的展开。
  对于音乐这一话题,学生们兴趣浓厚,对三位音乐家中贝多芬的作品相对熟悉。考虑到班级内英语中下游水平的学生,要做到与文本、与老师进行流畅的英文沟通仍有些困难,我觉得有必要制定一个小小的预习方案。通过上网查询有关三位音乐家的生平、作品、提前预习本课生词和表达等方式来帮助这些学生习得关于本课话题的素材和语料,适当降低此部分同学学习本课的难度。
  【设计理念与思路】
  本节课是贯彻英语课堂教学“目标-过程-方法”一致性的一次落实和实践,是实现英语语言“工具性与人文性”统一的一次思考和尝试。
  1.  本节课以问题为主线,通过读前“预测”、 读中“检验”、读后“实践”三个环节关注音乐家介绍类文章的写作特点;在此过程中注重学生获取、归纳信息等阅读策略的训练与阅读能力的培养。整个课堂通过听、说 、读、写,小组合作等方式展开教学,是一个提出问题、解决问题的过程,也是一个师生交流、积极互动、共同发展的过程。
  2.提升音乐在功能上的开拓设计,使音乐成为英语课堂教学中的有机部分,使它为提高学生的语言素质尤其是思维素质和人文素质服务。
  本节课根据教材内容与教学的需要,先后欣赏了《欢乐颂》、《土耳其进行曲》、《小夜曲》、《命运交响曲》四首曲子,分别承载了以下课堂功能:通过欣赏贝多芬作品《欢乐颂》,思考其音乐类别,达到了解“pop music” “classical music” “folsic” “jaz and roll”这几种重要的音乐形式的目的;通过欣赏莫扎特和海顿的音乐名曲《土耳其进行曲》和《小夜曲》,达到丰富学生的音乐知识,愉悦身心,提高学生的人文与艺术素养的目的;通过欣赏贝多芬名曲《命运交响曲》,引导学生谈论自身感想,达到理解伟大人物逆境中坚韧不拔、积极乐观的可贵精神品质,从而树立正确的情感态度与价值观的目的。
  3. 在语言输出环节,学生小组合作,介绍一位熟悉或喜爱的音乐人,由其他同学猜测,进一步明确如何介绍一位音乐人,从哪些方面介绍,使用哪些词汇。学生小组展示完毕,教师对学生的表现进行评价。在课堂结束后,学生填写自我评价量表,对课堂表现进行自我评价。
