In the waves of human exploration into space, our brave Chinese people have never stopped the pace of advancing. In just half a century, China has made remarkable exploration success.
Early in the 20th century, late 50s, China’s science and technology workers have begun research in space science. On April 24,1970, China sent the first artificial earth satellite(人造地球卫星) into the sccessfully. Until 1992, China finally made the strategic decisions of implementing our China’s manned space project(载人航天计划).
At the beginning of manned space flight project, Chinese scientists overcame numerous (无数的) problems. On November 20, 1999, Shenzhou I experimental spacecraft were successfully launched at the Jiuquan satellite launch center. Thus, China became the third country that has successfully developed the manned spacecraft. On October 15, 2003, China successfully launched its first manned spacecraft, Shenzhou V. China’s astronaut, Yang Liwei, become the first Chinese to flying into the space.
