A Teaching Plan for Module 2 Unit 1 Reading In Search of the Amber Room
Step 1: Pre-reading
T: have you ever seen a piece of amber?
Ss: No\ Yes.
T: Ok, I’ll show you some pictures of amber. (Some pictures)
T: From the pictures, we can see that the color of amber is yellow-brown, something like honey and it is so clear that we can see something in it. (老师引导学生回答)
(反思) 导入虽然直截了当,但是忽略了学生的状态。因为这是一节没有让学生做过任何预习的课,对于刚进入高中才一个来月的高一学生来说有点难度,老师也没有调动学生的热情。
T: Can you imagine a room made of amber?
Ss: It is ….
T: Today, I’ll lead you to know more about the Amber Room. The title of this passage is “in search of the Amber Room”. When you see this title, what do you want to know?
Ss: Where was it? Who had it? What happened to it?.....
(反思)学生还是提出了几个问题,这一步的预测还是可行的。

(反思)预设太过理想化,生成终有困难。所以前三段只能自己给出答案,学生能回答上来的只有第四和第五段。此时老师自己的心理也产生了一定的变化,担心下面的环节能否顺利进行下去。

(反思)根据提供的信息,学生不难找出四条线索是:characters(who)\ years (when)\ places (where) \ functions (what) , 但是接下来对每一段文本的处理显得一直是老师在问问题,学生只能被动的回答,而且由于想从评判性角度出发,设置的问题虽然有深度,但是学生回答不出来,其实也只能竹篮打水一场空。
