　　It happened on July 30, 1994, at about 6:30 pm when the nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver handed me my first-born son. My wife lay on the bed next to me, tired after a very long and difficult labor and delivery(分娩). I was amazed at the life we’d created and I was afraid
