Chapter One
Body Language
I. Teaching Aim:
Make the learners aware of the fact that body language plays an important part in the daily life,and introdue monly used body language in our daily life.
II. Important and Difficult Points:
a. How to use a simple cartoon to introduce the topic of the chapter
b. Preview work
c. Help the students to develop a good habit of reading.
d. Useful words and expressions of each section.
e. Language: Gerund
III. Teaching Aids:
1. Some pictures or slides
2. A recorder
3. A blackboard
IV. Teaching Process:
( The teaching is intended to be finished in 12 periods)
The First Period
Teaching Aim of this period: Presentation
Steps:
I. Introduce the topic :“what is body language”by giving definition or showing different moods by posture--the way in which we municate our feelings and moods without even speaking.
II. Let the students look at the pictures on page2“A:What do you know about”or show some pictures of different body language and guess different moods from what they have seen and let them discuss the reasons they give for their answers.
Eg : The picture A shows that the open mouth and the raised eye brows only indicate that a girl is surprised……
III. Ask some students to e to the front an express some moods written on some small paper prepared by the teachers in advance by their posture. They may include:
