Reading Old Tom the Killer Whale
教学设计:本节课本着让大部分同学都参与到学习与思考的过程中去的原则,设计了各个环节,阅读分为fast reading和careful reading,默读和大声朗读相结合。阅读题目由浅到深,由易到难,环环相扣,教学环节设计合理,紧凑。以下是教师教学的设计过程:
Step 1 Greetings
设计意图: 以猜谜形式引导学生对本节课内容的了解,提高学生学习热情。
At the beginning of class, the teacher gives the students a puzzle.
T: Hello, boys and girls!My names begin with W and end with E. I am the largest animal in the world and I live in the sea. I have beautiful blue skin. And no part of my body is thin. I'm not a fish but I breathe the air. I don’t have much hair. Men sometimes want to catch me for my body, I have huge fins I don't have feet. Who am I? I am......?
S: I am a whale.
Step 2 Learning Aims:
1. To practice your ability of comprehension by skimming and scanning.
2. To know something about whaling and killer whales.
3. To thint the relationship between animals and humans

课后反思:“兴趣是最好的老师”。只有学生对英语课文产生兴趣,他们的英语才会有提高的可能。教师在教学过程中,要设法保持学生旺盛的精力和良好的兴趣,培养他们自主学习的能力,扩大教学容量,培养学生的阅读能力,为高考奠定基础。在课前我充分地对教材进行整理和知识梳理。首先,根据我所教学生的英语基础,对教材的内容进行了重新整理,采用分层次教学,设计的习题分为难、中、易三个层次。让所有的学生都有机会有能力来参与到英语课堂中来并所有收获。其次,为了增加学生的兴趣,创设情境,采用猜谜语的方式来导入课堂。再次,组织生动的教学活动,由学生进行自由讨论,给出自己的观点,培养他们独立思考和自主学习的能力,老师为这一环节进行总结。最后,对全文进行小结练习,以高考题型语法填空为依托,让学生对课文进行整体的回归。总的来说,既增加了学生的学习兴趣,又培养了他们独立学习的能力。
但在本节课中,各部分衔接仍有瑕疵,这将是我作为一名英语教师要不断努力学习的方向和目标。今后要更多的进行实践,积累更多教学经验,去高效地驾驭课堂!

评测练习:在课文理解之后,进行了针对于全文的summary。设计时秉承着以下的目标:
1.结合课文所学,完成语法填空。引导学生如何做语法填空,并注意赋分。与高考题目相结合,优化本节课所学。
2.挖空设计合理,完全符合高考题目的设计要求。10个空含有动词不规则变化,冠词,定语从句,非谓语(2个),形容词比较级,名词变复数,介词,形容词,副词
3.先让学生自己做,然后用展台展示学生答案,改错,并赋分。最后让学生大声朗读,并背过。
