  Step 1. Warming up:
  1.Revise Unit 1 by asking them : What do you do on your birthday? Read the key phrases in Unit 1 together.
  2.Discuss: What would you like for your birthday?
  Step 2. Introduction
  1.Learn new words and read them together,especially, pay attention to their pronunciation.
  2.Without showing the English spelling or Chinese meaning,have a quick test.
  Step 3.Choosing presents.
  1.Look at the pictures in Part 1, talt them to learn some new words..
  2.Talt choosing presents with the help of their teacher.using I’d like to choose a...for my birthday. Ask freely.
  Step 4.Listen and match.
  1.Listen to the tape in Part 2 without opening their books. Match the people with what they like doing.
  2.Check answers.
  Stetp 5.Read and answer.
  1.Read each passage and answer the questions designed before class.
  2.Read the passage together, then freely, at last, ask some of them to read each
  passage. Encouragement should be given.
  Step 6.Video
  Enjoy the video in Part 2.
  Step 7. Choose presents.
  Complete the blanks in Part 2, give them some help.
  Step8.Complete the passage.
  1. Complete the passage in Part 3 on their own, check answers each other ,then check them in class.
  2. Read the passage together.
  Step 9 Underline the apostrophes.
  Step 10 Key points.
  Step 11.Exercises
  Do some exercises in class to consolidate what the key phrases they have learnt in this lesson. Translate them into Chinese, Encouragement should be given.
