1. To help the students to grasp the usages of some useful words, expressions and sentence patterns and use them correctly.
2. To madents do more exercises for consolidation.
Teaching important & difficult points:
1. Important words and expressions: native, identity, come up, a number of•••
2. Important and useful sentence patterns: (1).Native English speakers can understand each other even if they don’t speak the same kind of English. (2). It was based more on German than the English we speak at present.

Teaching procedures:
Step I Lead-in
Get students to watch a short dialogue and review some different expressions about American English and British English.
Step II Review some words.

Step V Complete the short story.
Because of Elena’s kindness and beauty, she was loved by a large number of boys. One of the native boys named Stefan liked her so much. Actually, he was a vampire. At present, he was 145 years old. One day, he came up to E’s apartment. In order to recognize his identity, he gave many performances such as showing his sharp teeth, drinking the blood of rabbits and so on. Standing at the top of the tree, he read his diary as fluently as possible, which was based on a story about a wolfman. In this story, different dialects made up a large vocabulary, which enriched his diary. Even if/though E was afraid slightly, she was gradually moved. So E came up with a request that you should stop drinking the blood of humans for me. Believe it or not, S did do it for her and finally conquered the heart of E.
From then on, E played an important part/role in S’s life. S made full use of his super power to protect E and her family .Only when we communicate with each other honestly can we achieve our aims.
