　　语言知识 了解HIV/AIDS的一些基本词汇，如HIV， AIDS，virus，immune，injection, infected, needle等词汇;理解并运用艾滋病的基本知识。
　　语言技能 能够在读、说与写中熟练使用英语来给以关于如何对待艾滋病人的建议。
　　语言运用 了解艾滋病病毒的传播途径及预防艾滋病的方法并将这些知识传送给其他人，给予其他人的建议；学习写劝告信。
　　文化意识 增强预防艾滋病的能力和自我保护意识，培养学生自身的健康生活方式。
　　情感态度 学会正确对待艾滋病人，学会关爱艾滋病病毒携带者和艾滋病病人，帮助他们的生活，关怀他们的情感，消除歧视。
　　学习策略 学会总结所接触的语言信息并加以应用。

　　教学重点 了解艾滋病的相关知识，并树立正确的价值观，正确对待艾滋病人，最终并能运用已学的语言知识表达观点并陈述理由。

　　教学难点 本节课的难点是对几个创设案例的分析，目的在于培养学生利用文章的信息和分析问题和解决问题的能力。艾滋病是不治之症，人们由于恐惧的心理而对这个疾病产生了一些误解。学生通过小组讨论合作，抓住文章的有力的证据来分析这三个案例。在创设的情境当中，教师抓住此契机给予学生恰当的评价，让学生体验到成功的快乐。

　　教学目的：通过向学生展示一个视频片段，引到艾滋病这个话题上，使学生对艾滋病对人造成的影响有一个更深刻的感受，激发学生深入了解艾滋病的兴趣。
　　Let the students enjoy a video clip about the change of an AIDS woman in 90 days, and then asdents to discuss what it is about.

　　Step 2  Let’s learn more! (3mins)
　　教学目的：这一设计起到承上启下的作用。首先唤起学生对阅读话题相关背景知识的准备，通过借助红丝带这个象征性的标志和世界艾滋病日这两个学生在日常媒体宣传活动中早有耳闻的典型，使学生对特殊标志和特殊日子的了解，到对这特殊话题的了解。过渡自然，学生既可回答现实的对这话题的了解也可回答对课文预习后学到的内容，学生有话可说，此环节关注了各个层次的学生，同时轻松进入学习状态。
