Teaching Objectives:

summarize the main idea of each paragraph.

Lead-in
Step1 T shows a video clip and lets Ss find out the topic of this class. Ss watch the video clip and get the topic of this lesson. 学生通过观看关于美的一段视频,了解到本课的话题及相关内容。
Step2 T shows some pictures and let students choose the one that they prefer. Ss choose the pictures according to their standards of beauty. 学生根据自己的审美选择图片,从而了解到不同的人对于美有不同的认识。
Pre-reading
Step3 T teaches some new words. Ss memorize these words. 预教生词,帮助学生扫清阅读障碍
While-reading
Step4 T asks Ss to read the passage quickly and match the main ideas with paragraphs. Ss go through the text and find the right paragraphs. (Ex1) 给出文章三段的段落大意,让学生在通读全文的基础上了解这三段的主旨大意,为进一步自己总结段落大意打基础。
Step5 T shows some pictures and explains the change. Ss try to summarize the standards of beauty change with time. 通过图片展示和讲解,使学生了解到人们对于美的标准是随时间在改变。
