2. To get the sensibility changes the writer want to express to the readers by making comparisons between the old house and the present house and the context the writer presented.
3. To use the vocabulary of facilities and rooms to describe the students’ own house. And find one part of their own house to improve(to design their own house.)

Show the Ss picture about houses. Let them do a brainstorm of house. Enjoy the pictures and do the brainstorm. Thint some words related to house.

2. Show the Ss the bacnd knowledge of the novel “the house on Mango Street”, and let the Ss answer questions related to the topic. 1. Give the right groups out.

1.Do you lir life now? I like my life very much, because from every part of the world, we can enjoy different beautiful scenes, for example, the tree outside our window and the lovely bird on it. What a pity if the bird fly away, someone thought out a good solution---draw these wonderful moment down in order to keep them on the paper forever, also we can share them with each other. 1. Look at the three paintings. Which one satisfy/suit you taste? Why?
Read the text and answer these questions:

2). What is Xu Beihong’s masterpiece?
3). Who is better at drawing simple pictures we often see in our life?
Qi Baishi. He drew simple pictures from everyday life, such as vegetable, flowers, birds and insects.

5). Why did Chen Yifei use black as the bacnd of Poppy?
To emphasize the woman even more, Chen adds lots of detail to her dress and fan, and choose to paint the bacnd black.
