  Teaching Objectives:
  Knowledge Objectives: 1. To learn to do something for poor children.
  2. To practice how to buy something.
  Skill Objectives: 1. To gather relevant information from listening.
  2. To improve speaking ability in shopping situations.
  Emotion Objectives: 1. To realize there are poor children in need.
  2. To advocate helping poor children with pocket money.
  Teaching Procedures:
  Step Ⅰ Warm-up
  Show four photos of the students and describe their hobbies. Ask Ss to say out what they will buy with their pocket money.
  Step Ⅱ Play the recording and finish Part A.
  Tell Ss: Millie and her classmates are talking about how they spend their pocket money. Listen to the conversation and match the things with the people.
  Step Ⅲ  Parts B1 & B2:
  1. Guess:
  Tell Ss Simon likes football. Ask some Ss to guess how often Simon and poor children buy such things.
  2.  Listen and compare with their guessing answers. Then finish Part B1.
  3. Read the ad and ask Ss some questions.
  Question ①: What do poor children not have in poor areas?
  Question ②: What can we do to help them?
  4.  Finish the letter on Page 85. Read it together. Ask Ss to pay more attention to the use of the present continuous tense when we see ‘now’.
