一、 学情介绍
高一二班的英语成绩比较低,学生比较安静,英语表达能力较弱;平时能够按照要求完成作业任务,但是缺乏主动学习并解决问题的积极性;针对学生的这种状况,我一直比较重视学生的单词识记和知识点的复习,把课文的讲解与阅读的补充练习相结合,并要求学生朗读和背诵一些篇章。
Unit 9的话题是交通。交通是一个内容宽泛的话题,对于生活在北京这个大城市的人来说,尤其是在接连遭遇严重雾霾之后,这个话题带来的直接感受恐怕是负面的。对于北京的交通压力以及空气质量恶劣的现状,机动车过多负有不可推卸的责任。本课的话题是就汽车过多的现象及其带来的负面影响来提出一些普通人便于实施的建议,容易引起学生的思考与共鸣。
二、教学目标
Students will learn more about how to use cars less;
read fast for specific information do inference;
speat how to use cars less;
be better aware that they can do a lot to use cars less
三、教学重点
Fast-reading for specific information and speaking about how to use cars less.

Speaking about how to use cars less in real-life situations.

Warm up Ask Ss to thint the benefits and problems brought by cars
1. Answer the question “if you had a car, how would you use it?”
2. Thint problems brought by cars To draw Ss’attention to cars’influence on our life.
Reading I Ask Ss to read the passage on the screen and show them the questions. Read and find out the problems mentioned and infer what are the A10, the M11 and the M25. To read for detail information and do inference while reading.
Reading II 1. Ask Ss to read about the advice and answer the questions.
2. Ask Ss to review the advice with the help of notes. 1. Read and answer the questions about each piece of advice.
2. Review the advice either individually or together. To fully understand the advice.
Consolidation 1. Ask Ss to read the passage on the screen and find what “I”have to do using the car.
2. Ask Ss to give advice to “me”on how to use the car less. 1. Read for what “I”have to do using the car.
2. Work in groups and discuss possible advice.
3. Report about their advice. To get a better understanding and mase of the advice.
Discussion 1. Show the Ss the result of the investigation on their family use of cars.
2. Ask the Ss to work in pairs and discuss about how to do these jobs without cars. Work in pair to come up with their advice and present their dialogues. To think more about how to use cars less in real-life situations and present their ideas.
