【课标解读】
1. 通过阅读不仅训练他们的阅读技能,还要让学生学到一些有关自然灾害方面的单词和短语
2. 了解火山常识,学会如何谈论自己在经历自然灾害时的感受。
【教学目标】
1. 透彻理解课文;培养快速阅读、整体理解的能力。
2.自主学习,合作探究;能够流利的复述课文,学会说明文的叙述方法。
3.了解自然常识,热爱大自然,保护大自然.并全力以赴,充满激情。
【重难点分析】
1)学生通过阅读课文大自然火山常识,对大自然产生浓厚的兴趣,增强对祖国大好河山的热爱。
2)学生能够在阅读的过程中对主要的阅读信息进行记录,并能根据这些信息对原文进行复述。

III.教材分析
本单元以the power of nature 为话题,旨在通过本单元教学使学生了解火山爆发,地震,台风,洪水,海啸等自然现象,认识到自然的伟大力量,并会用所学词汇描述在经历自然灾害时的感受,思考人类应对自然灾害的态度和方法,提高自我保护意识。
Warming up 通过对火山爆发示意图的探讨激活学生了解与本单元话题相关的背景知识,而后通过讨论人类应对自然灾害的措施引发学生对本单元话题的思考,激发学生的求知欲,为随后进行的听说读写打下基础。
Pre-reading 通过回答问题测试自己是否适合作火山学家,让学生了解这一陌生职业,为阅读做好准备。
Reading 部分一味火山学家以第一人称的形式讲述了自己的工作及第一次目睹火山爆发时的情景和心情,描写了人与自然的斗争与和谐相处的乐趣,使学生认识到火山是美丽的,
但同时极具破坏力,而火山学家的工作可以减少由火山引发的损失。
Comprehending 设计了两种题型:第一题要求学生在阅读后发表对火山学家这一职业的看法;第二题检测学生对文章细节的理解。
Learning about language 分为词汇和语法两部分。词汇部分着重从词的Boonit5 The power of nature 词汇运用导学案
【课标解读目标】:
学习并掌握本单元所学词汇和短语,学会熟练使用略读,找读,释义,细读,归纳要点,对比等阅读技巧。
【教学目标】:
1. 扎实掌握重点词汇与V-ing形式做状语的用法,提高自己的语言运用能力。
2. 自主学习,合作探究;掌握分析句子成分与概括框架知识的方法。
3. 能够使用表达情感的词汇,一口语表达的形式谈论自己在经历自然灾害时的感受。

一、核心词汇:
1.appoint

复习v–ing 形式作状语
一、 动词¬ing形式的时态、语态及意义

二、V-ing形式作状语,可以表示时间、原因、结果、条件、让步、行为方式、伴随状况等。

三、学习v-ing形式作状语的用法时,需要注意以下四点:
1)与过去分词作状语的区别: 一般来说,v-ing形式表示____________; 过去分词表示被动、完成。
The enemy fled in a panic, leaving behind a lot of dead bodies and weapons.
Defeated and frightened, the enemy fled in a panic.
2)分词(短语)作状语时,其逻辑主语必须与句子的主语_______。如果不一致,必须用独立主格结构来表示,也就是在分词前加上它的_______________。
①. Comparing all the great people with each other, you’ll find that they have much in common.
②. The train having gone, we had to wait another day.
3) v-ing形式的否定式:___________ 无论在完成式还是被动式里,not必须置于v-ing形式之前。
Not having finished his homework, the boy was still doing it in the classroom.
4) v-ing形式(短语)的功能有时相当于一个状语从句。
根据这个性质,在使用v-ing形式作状语时,切记:不要在前面或后面的句子前用连词连接。
(改错) Walking on the fallen leaves in autumn, so you’ll feel very comfortable.
四.有些表示说话人态度的分词结构已成为固定用语,不遵循其逻辑主语与句子一致的原则。这些短语常见的有:
generally speaking 总的来说 judging from/by ... 根据……判断
speaking of 说到…… talking of 谈到…… frankly speaking 坦白地说
considering .../taking ...into consideration考虑到…… seeing ... 考虑到……
providing 如果 supposing 即使;如果
