Analysis of teaching and learning
Different means of transport help people travel and go from one place to another easily. In this section, pictures are presented to students, each of which shows a different means of transport and its main function. Students are expected to discuss the differences between all these means of transport and how important they are to our everyday lives. Students are encouraged to collect the words and expressions about transport, pare different means of transport and then share ideas in class. Therefore their skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing can be practiced and reinforced.

Sentences pattern

1. First, I’d like you to tell me how you e to school every day, why?

2. Ask the students to think of as many tools of transport as they can in order to see whether they have a good knowledge of means of transport.

(5) Can you tell me the difference between a bus and a coach?
The main difference between the different means of transport is that a bus often travels on a fixed route either inside the city or in the suburban area while a coach is the means of transport for people bound for a faraway place.
