　　一、说教材
　　本单元是人教版第一模块的最后一单元，说的是Mandela怎样帮助黑人获得民权，与第一单元Friendship相呼应。Both a great man and a good friend share the same qualities,such as helpfulness, bravery,persistence,kindness and determination.
　　Reading介绍Elias的生平，向学生展示Nelson Mandela是一个怎样的人。这是一篇记叙文，让学生学会利用时间顺序描述一个人一生的主要活动。
