Dinosaurs阅读教学设计
教材分析
本文为选自上海版牛津教材chapter5 Loop的一篇阅读教材。它和新课标的差异是,词汇量相对较大,并和初中英语教学大纲求掌握的单词不完全符合的特点。而要接受本课教学的学生为学习新课标《GO FOR IT》教材的初二学生,所掌握的词汇量相对较少。针对这样的学情和教材差异,列举出在教学中要重视并解决的教学目标和重难点如下:
教学目标
1谈论关于恐龙的话题。
2 学习本教材新词汇:exist die out, nobody, leave behind
3 学习本班学生未学生词:dinosaur earth over million everywhere wing harmless gentle harmful fierce suddenly skeletons footprint
4在词汇学习过程中传授词汇学习方法。
5在阅读学习过程中,教授阅读中解决生词的方法,提高学生的阅读能力。
6培养学生热爱科学的情操,对英语词汇阅读学习的兴趣以及创造性的使用词汇进行输出的乐趣。
学习目标
1 能掌握生词的音形义。
2 能通过解决词汇障碍理解文章。
3 能准确掌握生词的用法并会自如使用其,乃至创造性的使用。
教学重难点
1(重点和难点)高频词汇 earth over million everywhere harmless harmful gentle suddenly。
2 (次重点)针对初中学生较为低频词汇footprint skeleton fierce
3 (难点)引导学生在阅读理解中处理单词的能力突破。

教学过程
Step 1 Greeting
T: I’m Pandora. Nice to meet you. Boys and girls!
Ss, Nice to meet you, too.
T: Do you know about Pandora’s story?
Ss answer

Step 2. Presentation
T: (Show picture of Pandora.) This is my box. Do you know what is in the box? Guess .

T talt 3 Avatars( show pictures of the movie of Avatar.)
The Avatars come to find dinosaurs for their friends on Planet Pandora. They are not harmful to people on the earth. That is to say they are “harmless”. They just want to help their friends on the Planet Pandora to find dinosaurs. But they heard dinosaurs died out over sixty million years ago. That means they didn’t exist on the earth for a long time. They can see only these(show pictures of people and animals and pollution) …
【设计说明】 通过故事设计,完成以下单词的教学:wings, dinosaurs, harmful, harmless, even die out exist over million)其中,wings实物展示 die out 动作展示,harmful harmless 同类词汇展示 exist 英文释义 over, million 语言释义 其中包括造句操练,同类词汇迁移拓展等方法适当巩固,以期达到较好的效能。

设计说明 通过这些练习的设计,完成对新词汇的同向和反向拓展,同时对新词汇学习起到很好的强化和巩固作用。同时这一活动也是对学生的阅读能力的有效检验,对其自发性的猜词理解上下文的能力进行肯定或纠正。
